Performance Cruising

White Sails Performance Sails provide you the owner with a wider choice of Fabrics. A tightly woven Dacron Sail has greater shape retention than standard cruising Dacron and will provide you with many years cruising and great performance when racing.
Dacron however good it is, due to its woven construction, the sail shape will move when over stressed and will require reefing to keep it flat.
If you have a heavy boat or would like more performance, then a Tri-Radial Cruise Laminate with Taffeta both sides, will provide a stable, robust sail.
With the Yarns pre-stressed and trapped between two Mylar Films ,a Cruise Laminate sail will hold its shape when under pressure, keeping the boat flatter and faster, and despite popular belief will last for many years.
Mr and Mrs. Burley used their White Sails Cruise Laminate Genoa for 11 years, whilst living on their Victoria 34 Moonstone. Cruise Laminate can be quite stiff and heavy when the sails become large, if you would like lighter easy to handle sails, please look at the Membrane sails on our Blue Water page.

In this day and age nobody should have to buy Radial Head or Cross-cut down wind sails. This is not using Spinnaker Nylon to its best advantage. All White Sails spinnakers and Cruising Asymmetrics are Designed individually for your boat , with a totally Radial panel layout, providing smooth sails that perform. Free choice ,of colours, up to 3 in number. Above 3 colour choices, Plus 5% of sail price per colour.

With our Downwind sails we supply ATN snuffers. ATN is a company that only construct snuffers, and send them all around the world. All lines are internal for snag free hoisting and lowering. ATN snuffers are an excellent piece of engineering.
