White Sails Blue Water range provides you the owner with the Ultimate choice of Fabrics. Heavy duty top quality Dacron will provide almost a life-time of Cruising. But heavy duty Dacron is just that Heavy!
Tri-Radial Cruise Laminate with Taffeta both sides, will provide a stable, robust sail.
With the Yarns pre-stressed and trapped between two Mylar Films , a Cruise Laminate sail will hold its shape when under pressure, but if you are going on extended Cruises in a large heavy displacement boat even the Cruise Laminate may lose its shape.
Spectra is the Ultimate Fabric for Tri-Radial Cruising sails, it is not affected by sunlight and virtually impossible to break. Spectra used to be the choice of Single Handed Around the World sailors, but with the introduction of Membrane Technology they can have the same strength for half the weight.

White Sails Membranes have been in use for the last 5 years, so are tried and tested unlike some of the newer Membranes on the market. Our Designs are run through a Stress Analysis programme which shows us the Load Paths running right through the sail from corner to corner, and reef to reef. The Fibres are then laid along the Load Paths creating a string frame, which is encapsulated in Mylar Film and then given a Taffeta layer both sides.

White Sails choose the best Fibre Lay-up to suit your requirements, the Fibres range from, Pentex Vectran ,Black Technora, Carbon and Kevlar, but usually a mixture of at least two different Fibres are used to provide you with the Ultimate Cruising sail, light, incredibly strong and with White Sails prices, comparable to Tri-Radial sails.

All White Sails spinnakers and Cruising Asymmetrics are Designed individually for your boat based on our Race Winning designs, with a totally Radial panel layout, providing smooth sails that perform. Free choice ,of colours, up to 3 in number. Above 3 colour choices, Plus 5% of sail price per colour.

With our Downwind sails we supply ATN snuffers. ATN is a company that only construct snuffers, and send them all around the world. All lines are internal for snag free hoisting and lowering. ATN snuffers are an excellent piece of engineering.
