What our customers say...

Hi Jeremy
I enclose the Results for Race 7 it seems some of the magic has rubbed off or do you sprinkle it on the sails, up to this race I had sailed up to 20 races and come last, it is difficult to say how great a feeling it is to compete. I only came in a few minutes behind an Alpha boat Shadow who was using a spinnaker and was fully crewed. Head hanged in shame for Race 6 (the day before the first race with the new sails) where I was around 20 minutes late for the start. If you take this off my time I was in the mix here for a better result.
Huge thanks
JohnJohn Ford races his Maxi 1050 mainly on his own, and sometimes with one other, he chose Membrane Main and Jib with Vectran Fibres and Double Taffeta, being on his own most of the time he required sails that would perform but be robust.

Hi Jeremy
Our start was awful and my helming on the first beat a little on the average side but some good tactics from Clive and his team of advisors kept us in contention. After the needles it was downwind all the way and the S1 was just brilliant. The main was also excellent giving us 2nd Place in Class One in the Cervantes Trophy.
p>We can report that the optimum point of performance for a White Sails S1 (.75oz Masthead) is 44 knots of wind speed. We would also advise that the boat should be sailed at approx 155 degrees true wind angle and crew should trim like buggery to maintain stability, but be prepared for gentle course deviations as boats broach and Chinese Gybe around you.
After the nose of the boat reappears from beneath the water and the hysterical screaming subsides one should expect a peak boat speed of 18 knots. This may of course be technically impossible for a 40' boat, but is no more unbelievable than that one would have ones biggest Masthead spinnaker flying in a force 9 gale. It is also imperative that the main is not reefed as this will allow optimum balance and sufficient power to drive the boat down into the water and increase waterline length.
Helm and crew are likely to experience a brief moment of euphoria before they realise; 'we can't actually get this thing down'. Fear not jolly and fearless sailors for help is at hand!!
As we know the good lord will not abide nature's laws being taken so lightly; expect an ear rendering and biblical bang, at least it would be ear rendering if it could be heard over the howl of the wind, as the spinnaker splits asunder from its control lines and all too suddenly (but gratefully) depowers the boat.
It now only remains to drop the main (whose leech is now torn) and send the latest person to join the crew aloft to retrieve was is now a 60' burgee!
Anyway Jeremy I hope this helps you amass further technical knowledge for your products.
Chris Shipman owner of Wave Length Sailing required a new Main and Mast Head Spinnaker for his Dehler 39SQ. Choosing a Carbon Membrane with Central Taffeta, Light Blade Jib, and Contender Superkote 90 Mast Head Spinnaker for his Fastnet campaign.
We chose White Sails because they were interested in what we were doing, we were not just another cheque in the order book! The new sails went up first time and looked great, not only were they fast, but White Sails also reduced our Rating! In our second Season of a full RORC Offshore campaign having covered many miles with the same sails, we became RORC Class 1 Offshore Champions Winning many Trophies along the way!!!
